At RightHire We Are
Transforming the Hiring Process with Advance Assessments
The Problem
RightHire was founded by a diverse team of scientists, business executives, and HR professionals with the goal of building pre-employment assessments for any job more quickly and cost-effectively than is possible with traditional methods.
In small and mid-sized businesses, purchasing assessments from vendors posed different issues. Some vendors offered pre-built assessments that were not tailored to specific jobs or validated, leading to legal liabilities and poor candidate experiences. Other vendors promised customizable assessment platforms for any job, even when only a few employees were involved, but these claims were misleading and did not result in legally-defensible assessments.
As professionals working in large companies, we encountered significant challenges with existing assessment vendors. Custom-building assessments for jobs was difficult, especially when it came to creating legally-defensible assessments that included cognitive abilities. With only a few employees in a particular job, statistical validation for legal defensibility was nearly impossible. For jobs with a larger number of employees (100+), the process took around three months and cost approximately $50,000 in employee time, consulting fees, and expenses.
We started RightHire to address these problems by developing a novel synthetic validity technology built on the U.S. Department of Labor O*NET database. Our platform allows you to custom-build a legally defensible, highly predictive assessment in 5% of the time it would take using traditional methods. Additionally, our platform includes pre-built off-the-shelf assessments that are legally defensible, highly predictive, and provide a positive candidate experience for 954 occupations across all industries and business functions. When your job matches one of these occupations, you can immediately start using the pre-built assessment without the need for customisation.
